Olivia + Dan came to our neighborhood to do some experimenting with shooting at night and play with some ideas I had. I wanted to push ISO on my digital camera to play with how my camera performed with natural grain. I wanted a moody film look shooting on digital. Archie + Veronica dopplegangers serving up some major Riverdale vibes. Not mad about it.
After wrapping up we wandered back to our house where the topic of family cabins came up. My family owned a cabin for 50 years on Briggs Lake. Dan mentioned his family has cabins scattered in Briggs and Julia. The very same chain of lakes that our family cabin was. We attempted to pinpoint exactly where our cabins were located on the lake. Maybe we were neighbors? I showed them a picture that I had in our kitchen that my mom recently gave to me. Instantly we realized it was the exact cabin both our families knew and loved. CRAZY.
It’s wonderful to know it was loved after we let it go. We loved our cabin on Briggs Lake and sometimes wildly dream of owning that place again. This moment reminded how interconnected we all are. The world is a small, small place.
I attached the two images we compared at the bottom of this blog post. Here’s some images of these cuties having fun that night!
